New Hire: Jun Miyanishi, Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra

Jun Miyanishi is the new Principal Tubist with the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra in Japan. He began performing with the orchestra in May 2023. Previously, Jun held the position of Principal Tubist with the Taiwan National Symphony Orchestra from 2009 to 2017. He holds a Bachelors of Music degree from the Tokyo College of Music and a Diploma from the Conservatoire a Rayonnement Regional de Versailles. He was the winner of 2013 Japan Wind and Percussion Competition and 2014 ITEC Solo Competition in Bloomington, Indiana.
