Arcangelo Fiorello is the Principal Tubist of the Teatro Massimo Bellini of Catania, as well as the new Principal Tubist of La Toscanini of Parma. In January, he began playing with La Toscanini of Parma, and he will soon begin playing with the Teatro Massimo Bellini of Catania. Arcangelo began studying the trombone and later the tuba at age six, under the guidance of Alessandro Fossi. Over the years, he has studied with Roger Bobo, Gene Pokorny, Oystein Baadsvik, Rex Martin, Roland Szentpali, Mario Barsotti, Wilfried Brandstotter, Gerard Buquet, Gianluca Grosso, and Andrea Affardelli. He began his orchestral career at age 15, playing in the Italian Youth Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Italian Conservatories. From 2016 to 2022, he held the role of tubist with the Italian Army Band in Rome. Arcangelo has played as a Solo Performer for Miraphone and the Eastman Company for some demonstration videos in several cities in Italy. He has also recently collaborated as principal tuba with Ennio Morricone, a legend of film music. Notably, Arcangelo was invited, for the first time in the history of the tuba, as a soloist at the Venice Biennale.
