The chapter hosted the 2013 Midwest Regional Tuba and Euphonium Conference and sponsored a memorial concert for chapter namesake, Ed Livingston. As part of the memorial concert, the chapter commissioned painter Erin Hayden to create a portrait of Ed Livingston that is permanently and proudly displayed near the tuba and euphonium studio.

The chapter has performed at the Illinois Music Educator’s All-State Conference and was featured at the national convention for the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Technicians. Through continual fund raising activities the chapter will sponsor a tuba-euphonium ensemble concert tour in the spring of 2014.
