Eligibility
All NERTEC competitions are open to contestants of every race, gender and nationality. Each contestant must be a member of ITEA at the time of the live rounds of the competition. Final Round Competitors must be present at NERTEC 2024 held May 24-25, 2024, at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA. Final Live Round Competitions will begin and end on Friday, May 24, 2024. Winners of any other competitions (ITEC, other regionals, Falcone, USABTEW, etc.) are eligible to participate. Entrants/competitors must never have held a full-time professional position as a performer or teacher.Criteria
The competitors should submit their best technical and musical expression for the music selections.Information
The competition is for tuba euphonium quartet. The group will submit one recorded round of a piece of their choice. The winners will play a live final round at NERTEC on the morning of May 24. The mandatory piece is Wind Sketches by Brian Balmages, all movements. The first-place winner will perform on May 25.Rules
