ITEA shall foster bonds among all tuba and euphonium players, create enthusiasm for the instruments and its performers, celebrate diversity, support professional development, promote the sharing of resources, and encourage teaching and learning about the instruments.

COMPETITIONS

The Tuba and Euphonium Studio at University of Oregon is committed to ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion in our community.  Repertoire requirements and guidelines will highlight the works of historically underrepresented composers.

IMPORTANT: There is an age limit for the student/Young Artist divisions (denoted by asterisk(*)). A participant who will be 20 years old or older on December 1, 2024 is NOT ELIGIBLE to apply in either student division. There are no exceptions.

NWRTEC 2024 will offer the following competitions:

Travel By Air

EUG (Mahlon Sweet Field) Regional airport located 20 minutes from UO campus. Airlines served include Alaska, Allegiant, American, Avelo, Delta, Southwest, and United.

PDX (Portland International) International airport about 2 hours drive from UO campus.  Bus and train transportation is available from PDX to Eugene, OR. Airlines served include Air Canada, Alaska, Allegiant, American, Boutique Air, British Airways, Condor, Delta, Frontier, Hawaiian, Icelandair, jetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, sun country, United, Volaris, and WestJet

Ground Transportation

Amtrak EUG, UO, PDX. The Coast Starlight train route runs daily between Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, and Los Angeles.

  • Regular – $55
  • Invited Presenter/Performer – $50
  • Student – $45
  • Competitor – $35

COMPETITION REGISTRATION
