ITEA Borrow an Instrument Program

The International Tuba Euphonium Association’s Borrow an Instrument program provides loans of professional instruments to young, dedicated, but underprivileged tuba & euphonium students for one year, with a renewal up to two years. To be eligible for a loan, students must:

• Be aged 15-25

• Demonstrate a clear financial need

• Demonstrate playing ability beyond a beginner level

• Be part of a school or equivalent educational institution

• Be a member of ITEA, in good standing

If you are a potential applicant, please fill out this form to apply: https://forms.gle/641iVJnVP16qiS4h7

Note that the applications, which will be reviewed once per year, must include:

• Two letters of recommendation

• A statement of financial need

• Proof of ITEA Membership

• A brief video sample of the applicant’s playing

If you are looking instead to support our mission, donations of instruments in excellent to good condition are what this program needs most. In that case, your gift is eligible for tax-deductible status.

If you are not in a position to donate an instrument, but would still like to help the Borrow an Instrument program, please also consider a monetary donation to the ITEA. This will help us further offset the costs associated with the day-to-day operations of the program (maintenance, storage, and shipping), and also help to expand the program. https://iteaonline.org/giving/
