Qualifications:
Currently Studying Tuba at the University of North Georgia, in the studio of Adam Frey. I have had the opportunity to receive performance feedback from James Gourlay, Oystein Baadsvik, James Jenkins, Jim Nova, Mark Jenkins, Corey Sherman, and More.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught at numerous schools in the Lumpkin, Hall, Dawson, and Forsyth county school systems. This includes a private, 1 on 1 setting, a small group, anywhere from 2 to 20 people, and a full ensemble setting. Additionally, I am currently the low brass lesson person at Ponce De Leon Music, in Cumming GA. Since my start there, I have had over 10 students study with me.
Playing experience:
I have been Principal Tuba for the University of North Georgia Ensembles for over 3 years now. This includes for the UNG Symphonic Band, UNG Wind Ensemble, and the UNG Low Brass Collective. I have also been apart of the University of North Georgia Brass Quintet, The University of North Georgia Tuba-Euphonium Quartet and the UNG Jazz Band. Outside of the University, I have subbed with the Gate CIty Brass Quintet, performed with the Georgia Brass Band, and performed with numerous community ensembles in the northern Georgia Area. I have also been a featured soloist with the UNG Wind Ensemble, the Northwinds Concert band and R.W. Johnson High School Band.
