Miraphone 1291 CC

I am selling my Miraphone 1291 5/4 CC 4 piston/1 rotary valve lacquer-finished tuba. I got this horn from Vurl Bland at Houghton Horns in 2020 and it has served me fantastically during my time at UNT. Includes blue Miraphone gig bag (fits perfectly and extremely comfortable). New these are $13,000+. I am pricing at $7850 OBO to sell quickly.

I have replaced the springs to be less heavy than the Miraphone ones and had work done on it by Carl Kleinstuber. 1st and 4th slide are vented. All slides and valves move quickly and easily. There are minor dents and slight lacquer wear.

I will be at TMEA for sure, Wednesday – Sunday if someone is interested in getting it there. Other than that I am willing to drive a fair amount as to avoid shipping. This is a GREAT horn for anyone looking for an all rounder. I have played in bands, orchestras, and quintets with a lot of success. This is also a great CC tuba for anyone looking for one for college.
