Events on all four days are free and open to the public. No tickets or reservations are required for the events. There is no registration fee and any tuba or euphonium player is invited to bring his/her horn for reading sessions. Military musicians are invited to perform with the Armed Forces Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble. The Conference will take place at Brucker Hall on historic Fort Myer, Virginia. May 5/15/2008 International Instrumental Competition Markneukirchen http://www.instrumental-competition.de/ The International Instrumental Competition Markneukirchen is held in a world famous centre of the making of musical instruments. Musical instruments have been built in high quality in the "Musikwinkel" for 350 years. The competition has its roots in this long and living condition. The competition started with the modest beginning of a violin contest from 1950 to 1956. The competition has developed to a performance of international meaning and in 1993 it was admitted to the "WORLD FEDERATION OF INTERNATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITIONS."
